“We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.”
Since 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that directly influence the livelihood and mission of organizations such as The Bee Foundation, partially through direct donations but also through spreading the word.
Why share the mission of The Bee Foundation?
You’re spreading the word to support innovative research that is fact driven, targeting areas of prevention and treatment that are in need of advancement. Many medical experts in the field of neuroscience recognize this research as an urgent necessity, such as those on our Scientific Advisory Board.
An estimated 1 in 50 people in the United States have an unruptured brain aneurysm. How many Facebook friends do you have? Out of 500 friends, 10 may have an unruptured aneurysm, and the same statistic applies to their friends as well. And when a brain aneurysm does rupture, it is fatal in 40% of cases.
Sharing our mission to support people whose lives are changed by brain aneurysms, especially your loved ones, is important to do this #GivingTuesday. Here are just a few examples of those that have shared their stories with us, who are thankful for the support of donors as well as advocates who promote The Bee Foundation’s cause.
**Here I will put pictures that are links to the different stories.**
So you want to take part in #GivingTuesday by supporting The Bee Foundation? Here is what we are asking you to do:
