Running for Brittany

In October 2021, a sudden and life-changing event shook the lives of Brittany McCarthy and her loved ones. At just 21 years old, Brittany tragically lost her life to a ruptured brain aneurysm.  Her family and friends came together to raise awareness about brain aneurysms and support preventative research in Brittany’s honor.

A Tribute to Brittany: The Run/Walk Fundraiser

Brittany’s family and friends organized a remarkable event in Staten Island that not only celebrated her strength but also aimed to make a difference in the lives of those affected by brain aneurysms. The Brittany McCarthy 5K and 1-Mile Walk served as a tribute to Brittany and all individuals impacted by this challenging medical condition.

Uniting for a Purpose

One of the most inspiring aspects of the event was the coming together of a community, united by a shared goal: raising Brain Aneurysm Awareness. Participants from all walks of life, young and old, seasoned runners and first-time walkers, joined forces to make a meaningful impact. It was a beautiful demonstration of how a community can rally together to support a common cause.

A Remarkable Achievement: Over $20,000 Raised
