2nd Annual Cornerstone Wine Fest Draws Record Crowds, Raising Close to $200K for Brain Aneurysm Prevention
It was clear and cold on Saturday evening, February 26, but the 140 attendees at Cornerstone Bistro’s 2nd annual wine fest didn’t notice! They were too busy enjoying the apres-ski themed celebration in a capacious – and warm! – tent, featuring comfortable couches for lounging and an actual gondola to cap off the ambiance. Guests ate their way through a variety of outstanding food stations featuring a unique raclette presentation and venison stew as only Cornerstone can make it, while sampling a selection of over 50 exclusive wines from around the world.
Wine vendors included: Bowler, Breakthru Beverage, Jackson Family, T. Edward, Trinity, Vine Street and Wine Merchant who poured some of the crème de la crème including almost sold out Cliff Lede ‘Poetry’ Cabernet 2018 from Napa Valley and Verite ‘La Joie’ Red Blend 2015 from Sonoma County.
Co-founders Christine Kondra and Erin Kreszl welcomed the crowd, updating them on the list of Foundation accomplishments (9 research grants, close to $2M raised for awareness and preventative research) and thanking them for their unwavering support. They were following by Tony Yezzi, father of brain aneurysm and AVM survivor Zac Yezzi, with an account of his amazing journey from a near -death experience to recovery, with the help of The Bee Foundation’s doctors and Scientific Advisory Board. A rousing auction boasting items like a weekend at the Fitler club, merchandise sales from our partner at Wear For Good and an enthusiastic Paddle Raise generated a record close to 170K for brain aneurysm prevention efforts.
We are very excited to announce that the team over at THE MOTHERCHIC will generously be matching ALL WINE SALES up to $10,000 through Wednesday, March 2nd at midnight. CLICK Here to purchase – Take advantage of this awesome opportunity to enjoy some of our favorite bottles while supporting a good cause. 100% of all proceeds go directly to The Bee Foundation for Brain Aneurysm Prevention.
Guests capped off the evening by crowding the dance floor and sampling the donut board from Duck Donuts.
