Move For Maddie 2023 #MFM2023

Maddie Potts was a healthy, young, female athlete, taken acutely from this world at the age of 17. Maddie exemplified all attributes that a student athlete should possess. She always led by example, and dedicated her free time to helping her teammates, fellow art students and all others around her to be the very best they could be. Her year round work ethic as a 3 sport athlete, honor student and member of VAASA (Varsity Athletes Above Substance Abuse) is unsurpassed by any her age. To quote her athletic director, “She just had a way with the kids on her team. They idolized her. They looked at her like she was a superhero – like she was Wonder Woman. Any time we went into any game, no matter who the other team had, our girls would be like ‘Well, we have Maddie Potts.’”

Please join us by posting a video juggling a soccer ball for Maddie during the month of June to honor her legacy AND raise Brain Aneurysm Awareness!

Thank you for supporting The Bee Foundation & Athletes for Aneurysms! All donations support Brain Aneurysm Prevention.

Each of these athletes, Mallory Brewer, Nick Cordrey & Maddie Potts, were tragically taken too soon due to a ruptured brain aneurysm. Athletes for Aneurysms expands the Headstands for Mallory campaign to reach even more people by joining the families and friends of these athletes doing what they loved most.

Help us spread brain aneurysm awareness and prevention. On June 1st, we will announce Athletes for Aneurysms. We will invite you to join the fundraiser or you can start your own.

1. Post Your Juggles

Participants agree to post a video of them doing 18 juggles or toe taps on their feed with a caption sharing who Maddie is and that a brain aneurysm ruptures every 18 minutes.

2. Nominate

Participants will nominate at least 3 friends to join in to help make sure they know the facts about brain aneurysms.

3. Donate – Join Our Fundraiser

Participants will be invited to join our Instagram fundraiser or they can start their own, so they can add the fundraiser button directly to the post and feature it on their profile. This is essential to maximizing fundraising opportunities for research and prevention.

A brain aneurysm ruptures every 18 minutes. These 18 juggles are in honor of a young woman named Maddie Potts, whose life was taken too soon after suffering a fatal ruptured brain aneurysm with no warning signs at the age of 17.

Please consider getting involved and helping spread brain aneurysm awareness and prevention in honor of Maddie. I nominate
