On Saturday, September 14th, friends, family, and community members gathered at Heckscher State Park to honor the memory of Lori Weiss at the Lori Weiss Memorial Run/Walk. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to Lori’s vibrant spirit and resilience, celebrating her life while raising awareness and support for brain aneurysm research and prevention.

In Loving Memory of Lori Weiss

Lori Weiss was more than just a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and friend—she was an inspiration to many. Her warmth, compassion, and strength touched the lives of all who knew her, and her memory continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those she left behind. This special event was a testament to Lori’s enduring legacy, providing an opportunity for everyone to come together in her honor.

A Beautiful Day for a Meaningful Cause

The morning began with registration at 8:00 AM, where participants received their commemorative tee-shirts, TBF’s new color changing sunglasses and the beloved MariMix.. As the sun shone over Heckscher State Park, participants gathered near Field 6, ready to embark on the 5K run/walk. The scenic route through the park offered a peaceful and reflective environment, perfect for honoring Lori’s memory and the cause she cared so deeply about.

At 9:00 AM, the run/walk officially commenced. Runners, walkers, and everyone in between made their way along the 5K (3.1 miles) course, each step a tribute to Lori’s life and the impact she had on those around her. Throughout the event, participants shared stories, laughter, and tears, united by their love for Lori and their commitment to raising awareness for brain aneurysms. The sense of community was strong, and the event served as a reminder of the power of coming together in the face of adversity.
