About The Maddie Potts Foundation
*The Maddie Potts Foundation was established in November of 2017, less than 2 months after Maddie’s sudden death on the soccer field of an acutely ruptured brain aneurysm. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit was founded in order to carry on Maddie’s legacy of kindness, compassion, hard work, inclusive leadership and perseverance, now trademarked as “Maddie Mentality.” We focus on giving back to the community through scholarships, support for individuals and their families who suffer acute loss or disability and by highlighting the importance of positive coaching and leadership.

Lives Unfinished: Parent’s Reflections on Child Loss: A Collection of Experiences, is a book of stories shared “by 10 parents who have survived the loss of a child.” (The Maddie Potts Foundation)
Every day we wake up from our worst nightmare on repeat. It never ends. We can't shut it off, and we can't change the ending. We replay it every day to convince ourselves it is real, but how can it possibly be real? We weren't given a choice. We've lived it, but we are also surviving it. “...You go through a roller coaster of emotions, you feel every word that is written by each parent and even shed a few tears along the journey of reading each story...” These stories are real and raw, and we tell them to keep the memories of our children alive.
