What is Headstands For Mallory? On August 25, 2016, we said goodbye to one of the most humble and kind young girls who had everything going for her. Mallory Rae Brewer was taken from us too early at the age of 27 after suffering a fatal brain aneurysm. Mallory was a gymnast at the University of Pittsburgh where she competed all four years of her college career from 2007-2011. She “flipped” through life and really made an impact on everyone she met. She was strong and fearless. Mallory’s family & friends partnered with The Bee Foundation to launch the Headstands For Mallory campaign. Every year during the month of June to celebrate Mallory’s birthday, we encourage everyone to go upside down to celebrate Mallory’s zest for life and challenging a friend to do the same.
