Thank you to Flo Celender for letting us know what a great time she and her husband had as winning bidders for Hamilton tix at our 2018 Honey Bash. We look forward to creating many more great experiences at next year’s Honey Bash, October 5, 2019. Save the Date!
Thanks to The Bee Foundation, my husband, Rick, and I recently enjoyed a wonderful weekend in New York where we celebrated his birthday in style!
It all started at the Foundation’s fifth Honey Bash Gala at the Kimmel Center in September 2018.
During the excitement of the live auction, we were lucky enough to be the winning bidders for two VIP tickets to Hamilton on Broadway. As promised, they were truly VIP seats – 5 rows back from the stage, with the orchestra right there! I have to say that while the production is long – almost 3 hours – it went by incredibly quickly and the energy was contagious: I’ve never seen an audience cheer and sometimes stand after each song like this one did.
Our NY package also included a gift certificate for dinner at Joe Allen Restaurant prior to the show. Besides having a perfect table, great food, lovely ambiance, and adorable budding actor waiters, they were incredibly accommodating, letting us stay at our table until show time.
To top it all off – an extra bonus was brunch at New York’s celebrated Russian Tea Room. Normally you are there dining for at least two hours, but because they were aware of our time crunch – I’d planned a fairly action-packed agenda for our weekend – we were out of there in an hour.
We stayed at our favorite hotel, The Ritz. Our room overlooked the park and was high up, giving us a great view of the carriages and the activity in the park – all enhanced by the room’s telescope.
A big thanks to The Bee Foundation for a wonderful experience: Your auction item lived up to all expectations. You gave Rick a perfect birthday!
