Join The Bee Foundation and the Brain Aneurysm Foundation on Capitol Hill to lobby Congress for increased brain aneurysm awareness and research. This is an exciting event where you can truly make a difference in the fight against Brain Aneurysm. Each person attending will have a voice to share their experiences and desire to change the landscape of this disease at a national level.
This year’s Lobby Day will focus on asking additional members Congress to co-Sponsor, Ellie’s Law which was introduced into the 115th Congress in both the House & Senate. This bill authorizes appropriations for NIH to conduct or support research on unruptured brain aneurysms. The bill names, 5 women who lost their lives to a ruptured brain aneurysm: Ellie Helton, Lisa Colagrossi, Teresa Anne Lawrence, and Jennifer Sedney.
This bill authorizes appropriations for the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke to conduct or support research on unruptured brain aneurysms in a patient population diversified by age, sex, and race.
