Ellie’s Law, which asks for an additional $50M in brain aneurysm research over five years, is reaching new heights with the most bipartisan, bicameral support it has ever received. In the 118th Congress, the bill has 63 cosponsors in the House and an additional 6 cosponsors in the Senate. Every additional story told to lawmakers helps lead to more support for the bill. That’s why it’s critical for stakeholders to share their personal stories with Congress so federal lawmakers understand the impact brain aneurysms have on communities across America. The Bee Foundation for Brain Aneurysm Prevention provides a toolkit and resources with step-by-step instructions on how advocates can amplify their voices to federal lawmakers.
The consistent efforts of our team and the brain aneurysm community have been critical to garnering the necessary support in Congress. Recently our advocacy partners from Arnold & Porter joined us at our Honey Bash Gala. Mickayla Stogsdill, Senior Policy Specialist shared her experience: “It was wonderful to see the brain aneurysm community come together in support of such a critical issue affecting 1 in 50 people. I left The Bee Foundation for Brain Aneurysm Prevention’s gala more motivated than ever to continue advocating for Ellie’s Law and the brain aneurysm community on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.”
We need all of our voices to take Ellie’s Law across the finish line. Share your story today and take the leap to join The Bee Foundation and The Brain Aneurysm Foundation for Lobby Day in 2025….date to be released soon!
