A former Marine wakes up after an 8-year-long coma

After suffering a brain aneurysm, Jacob Creasman a former Marine, is now fighting for a way to speak. For the last eight years, Jacob has been unconscious, suffering silently in a coma. After a long sleep, Jacob regained awareness to find himself trapped inside his mind, unable to move his body. With strength and perseverance, he is fighting daily to communicate again. However, this may be a slow process of “letter gazing” as his respiratory therapist refers to the technique; she states this doesn’t stop Jacob from wearing an admirable smile ear to ear each day. She hopes to get him the technology he needs to be in control and able to express his thoughts again.
